@H@1Should Pulp be banned?

6Well the obvious answer is of course they shouldn't. I'm sure most of you
6lot would agree that they are easily one of the finest bands about at the
{6moment, if not the finest. They've just released a new album - @3`Different
{3Class`@6, they've been riding high in the charts with both their last to
{6singles: @3`Common People`@6, unjustly stopped from getting the top spot by those
{62 blokes off Soldier, Soldier, and @3`Mis-shapes`@6, thwarted sadly by Simply
6Red's dire `Fair ground`. There is no reason to ban them, or is there? Well
6according to the Daily Mirror there is. The tabloid claims that the drugs
{6references in the packaging of @3`Sorted for Es and Whizz`@6 are a disgrace.
6What a load of shit. The Mirror asked readers to phone in and vote on wether
6Pulp's single should be taken off the shelf. Of corse thousands of old folk,
6hearing the Mirror's twisted version of Pulp's unique `drug wrap' packaging,
6phoned in to pledge support against this `SICK JOKE'.`Sorted for Es and Whizz`
6was defeated by a large(ish) majority. Haven't any of them got a sense of
6humour? (and you can fuck off with all that stuff about "what's funny about
6kids dieing from drugs?") It isn't front cover news.
6
6I just can`t understand this kind of attitude, especialy from a paper that
6prides itself on it's left wing attitude. It wasn`t as if Pulp actualy sang
{6a pro-drugs message, `Sorted` is actualy fairly anti with lines like @5"What
{5if you never come down"@6 and @5"Mother, I can never come home because I've
{5left an important part of my brain somewhere, somewhere, in a field in
{6Hampshire"@6 (Or something like that). This is actually an anti-drugs culture
6song. Why do the press always get the wrong end of the stick? It reminds me of
6John Lennon being slammed in America over his, so called "bigger than Jesus"
6remarks. I've had enough of this shit. Grow up - Start thinking about the music.
6
6I like `Sorted`, it is probably my favourite song over even `Common People`.
{6Kult prefers @3`Underwear`@6, so nothing new there. PIP prefers Foster and
6Allen's Greatest hits.
6
6So Pulp hasn`t been banned, but what kind of service is the Mirror offering
6it's readers by printing shit like this on the front page.
